Super Mario Land ZX
-------------------

Super Mario Land (Nintendo, Game Boy, 1989) converted to the ZX Spectrum 128K.
This is a public beta: the whole game is in, and I'd love to hear how it runs, especially on real hardware.

Features

- All 12 levels across the 4 worlds, including the submarine and plane shoot-'em-up stages
- All 18 tunes arranged for the AY chip
- The whole game in a single 128K load.
- Keyboard or Sinclair joystick

Files

- .tap - tape, any 128K Spectrum (128, +2, +2A, +3)
- .dsk - +3 disk: choose "Loader" from the +3 menu
- .sna - snapshot for emulators

Controls

- A / D - left / right
- W / S - up / down (up only in the submarine and the plane)
- K - jump (the Game Boy's A button)
- J - run and fire (the B button)
- H - pause
- Sinclair joystick in either port: up jumps, fire runs and shoots

Test keys for beta testers: P powers Mario up; Symbol Shift + M / N skips to the next / previous level;
Symbol Shift + C goes on to the next checkpoint.

Known issues

- The frame rate drops in the busiest scenes.
- Tested in emulators so far. Reports from real hardware are especially welcome.

Reporting bugs

Please leave a comment with the level, what happened, and which machine or emulator you used
(and whether tape, disk or snapshot). A screenshot or a saved snapshot helps a lot.
